Zakynthos: Shipwreck Beach with Blue Caves Land & Sea Tour

About This Experience
This is the best-reviewed Navagio trip on Zakynthos by a wide margin, with more than 5,700 ratings, and it is a land-and-sea day rather than a boat trip. A minibus collects you from your accommodation, and the boat is one leg of a much longer itinerary.
The day starts at Bochali above Zakynthos Town for the view over the Peloponnese coast, then crosses to the north-east for Xigia's thermal beach and Makris Gialos. From the cliff-top platform above Navagio you get the postcard view down into the bay - the one photograph a boat cannot take - before the boat leg takes you onto the water for the Blue Caves, Maravelia Cave, White Beach and Sfogio.
The trade is straightforward. You see Navagio from both above and below, which no single boat departure offers, and you pay for it with eight to nine hours and a lot of time in a vehicle. The operator's own booking terms now state plainly that landing on the sand is not permitted.

An unforgettable experience – absolutely worth the price! The entire trip was extremely well-organized from start to finish. Our tour guide was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We covered all the key highlights of the island without feeling rushed, and there was zero downtime throughout the day. The absolute highlight was the speedboat ride—it made the whole experience so exciting! Highly recommended, 10/10 value for money.

Our driver, Mr. Giannis, was the best and in combination with Dimitris, our tour guide, we had a great time. Spyros, the speedboat driver, was very funny and, in general, the excursion was more than worth it!!
— Ntenata, August
It exceeded my expectations. The guide and driver were very good, and the sightseeing tour was excellent.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is this rated so highly?
It solves the transport problem. Navagio's viewpoint and the west-coast harbours are a long drive from the southern resorts, and this tour handles all of it with hotel pickup, so travellers without a car get the cliff-top view and the boat in one booking.
Do I see Navagio from the viewpoint as well as from the boat?
Yes, and that is the main reason to choose a land-and-sea day over a boat-only cruise. The cliff-top platform gives the famous overhead view; the boat gives you the wreck at water level. A Porto Vromi cruise gives you only the second.
Where does the boat leg leave from?
On this operator's itinerary the boat leg boards on the north coast. Land-and-sea tours vary on this point - some board at Porto Vromi Maries, others at Anafonitria - so check the specific listing if the boarding port matters to you.
Can I stand on Navagio Beach?
No. The operator's own terms state that under current regulations landing on the sand is not permitted, and that you will see the beach from the cliff viewpoint and from the boat. That restriction runs through 31 October 2026.
Is a glass-bottom boat or a speedboat used?
Both are offered as booking options at different prices - a glass-bottom boat ticket or a speedboat ticket. The speedboat is faster and reaches more of the caves; the glass-bottom boat is the calmer ride.
How long is the day, really?
Eight to nine hours from pickup to drop-off, and the order of stops can change with weather, sea conditions and harbour traffic.
