Everything was great and as expected. Arrival and registration were great and smooth. We were even taken earlier cause there were two spots free on the earlier tour and our captain Marios was excellent; knowledgeable and professional and even a grater photographer. Agios Nikolaos port on the north-east coast of Zakynthos, at the Yotomu Theodosis Cruise office. It is about a 40-minute drive from Zakynthos Town and roughly an hour from the southern resorts, so factor in transfer time if you are staying in Laganas or Kalamaki.
Can I land on Navagio Beach on this cruise?
No. Navagio is closed to landings and to swimming inside the bay through 31 October 2026, and all boats must hold at least 50 metres offshore. You will see and photograph the wreck from the water; the swim stops happen at Agios Andreas Bay and the Blue Caves instead.
How does this compare with leaving from Porto Vromi?
Porto Vromi is the shortest crossing to the wreck itself, at roughly 25 to 30 minutes each way, but it sits on the west coast and is a long drive from most resorts. Is the boat small enough to enter the Blue Caves?
Yes, and that is the specific advantage of this cruise. Larger 60-seat boats stop at the cave mouths; a small boat can sail into the arches themselves.
