What time of day is best for photographing the wreck?
Earlier or later than noon. Navagio faces west-north-west under 200-metre cliffs, so the middle of the day gives you strong overhead light and deep shadow beneath the cliff. The private option is the way to move your departure time.
How rough does it get?
The north-west coast is exposed and the local sea breeze builds through the afternoon, so a noon departure can meet chop on the return leg. If you are prone to seasickness, a morning departure from Porto Vromi is a gentler trip.
Is hotel pickup included?
No. You make your own way to Agios Nikolaos port, roughly 40 minutes from Zakynthos Town by road.
